Tags: I trust you all had good weekends! Here is another thrilling installment of interesting things I have seen in the past few days. If you have anything you’ve seen that you think is worth sharing with colleagues but are feeling too timid to post yourself, 1) you shouldn’t 2) you can send to me to include in next week’s version. -- A Twitter lawsuit! Is that a Twawsuit? In any case, it involves Courtney Love, so it’s sure to be juicy.
-- Speaking of lawsuits, here is a resource for bloggers worth sharing on how to avoid them -- a guide to libel law.
-- Personally, I do not watch “Celebrity Apprentice” but think it’s funny that there is a PR lesson to be learned from a recent episode. (Spoiler Alert! From two episodes ago.)
-- Twitter is a crime-fighting tool in Maryland!
-- This is a little old, but I enjoyed David Brimm’s post evaluating PR portrayals in Hollywood. He did miss one PR person – Jennie Garth’s Val on “What I Like About You.” (Don’t ask me how I know that.)
-- Sweet! Using social media improves your productivity at work. I knew it!
-- I think I need to start reading TwiTips in general. I found out about it when I read the post on why you shouldn’t follow too many people. The post titled “Why I Suck at Twitter” is going to be saved for later.
-- Peter Kim has a wiki of social-media marketing examples (you should bookmark that, if you are ever looking for examples of what other companies are doing). Someone took that wiki and analyzed it to understand the distribution of examples. Blogs and social networks account for half, which doesn’t seem very surprising.
